Regina Marquisette silk-linen fabric

A precious and special fabric, whose origins can be found at the beginning of the 20th century, when it was used for the celebration, bridal and ball dresses. In a luxurious composition of pure silk and linen, it is a dual fabric: fine and durable, with delicate sparkles, suitable both for day and evening clothing.

Extremely comfortable, Regina silk-linen marquisette is brought to life with every move, making it ideal for draping or flowy clothes. In spite of the fine-looking appearance, the fabric is very durable, being woven through a special technique, from extremely thin yarns that are in the same time woven and twisted. Very resistant, it does not allow the yarns to glide making it easier to work with and wear. The fabric has an elegant, medium transparency and is also good for hand sewing.

Let yourself be inspired by the "Regina silk-linen marquisette" and use it for: dresses, flowy clothing, bridal dresses, summer clothing, children's cloths, fine linings for other precious wool/silk garments or as a support for felting techniques etc.
