Calina cotton gauze

Calina cotton gauze – an elegant cotton fabric with a history of more than 100 years. A premium cloth, woven from the finest PIMA cotton yarns.

A fabric of the contrasts that pleasantly surprises you. It's fine, fluid, airy, but strong at the same time. It is not very transparent, despite the veil touch sensation and the extremely thin yarns from which it is woven. Calina gauze is a “right from mom’s closet” - type of fabric, due to its vintage look and the special texture of the dense gauze veil.

The story of Calina's fabric began over 100 years ago - inspired by an old Romanian traditional IA that we had in our family from our grand-grandmother and we wanted to restore by replacing its old broken cloth with an identical new one. This is how the Calina was born - an airy fabric with velvety silk touch, comfortable, smooth and easy to work with.

Let yourself be inspired by Calina gauze and use it for, but not only: casual-chic women's shirts, bridal dresses, summer blouses, dresses, skirts, traditional vintage clothes, other clothes and decoration items, such as curtains and others.

Available colors: natural, white, pastel colors (yellow, purple, blue), medium colors (brown, orange, purple, etc), intense colors (black, red, dark blue, etc). Crepe
The fabric may be smoothed by steaming and ironing; crepe appearance may be fully removed depending on the intensity and temperature ironing. Crepe appearance is restored after each wash, as imprinted in the fabric’s memory through our Air Soft Technology.

MAINTENANCE:
Manual/automatic wash; separate colors; dyed fabrics should not be washed using bleach based detergents;
max. washing temperature: 20°C - 60°C white / natural, 30°C colored
